The Diversity Opportunities database offers information on activities ranging from research to mentoring and from teaching to community outreach, both on and off campus.
The Diversity Opportunities database is designed to advance UC Irvine's enduring commitment to inclusive excellence. It connects faculty with the wide range of offices, programs and initiatives that promote equity, diversity and inclusion. This campus commitment is grounded in University of California policy that governs faculty appointment, review and appraisal (APM 210.1-d). This policy recommends that faculty both be encouraged and rewarded for activity that promotes inclusive excellence. The database is a useful tool to explore how you may contribute to inclusive excellence during your career at UCI.
To identify the right opportunity for you, current and prospective faculty can search the database by clicking "View Opportunities". You may search for opportunities using the keyword search.
On-campus offices, programs and organizations may submit diversity opportunities to be included in the database by clicking "Submit Opportunity" and completing the provided form. Please note that opportunity submissions must be reviewed and approved before being added to the database. For more information, please contact us at (949) 824-8250 or at Diversity-Opportunity@uci.edu.
Whether you are an existing faculty member or are seeking to commence your career at UC Irvine, the campus values learning about your contributions to inclusive excellence. Please consult the guidelines for reporting your contributions. Applicants are also encouraged to submit a diversity statement that addresses their contributions to diversity or future plans to advance this vital campus commitment.
